Brexit is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union, which happened in June 2016. Great Britain had held a referendum on this question to ask people what they think about getting out of the EU. And 51,9% of the participants voted for leaving the European Union.

Here is the opinion of Donald Tusk, a Polish politician and the acting President of the European Council, about Brexit and it’s influence on the EU-UK relations.

Donald Tusk, European Council President: When it comes to Brexit, you know, politicians come and go but the problems they have created for their people remain. And the mess caused by Brexit is the biggest problem in the history of EU-UK relations and it is still very far from being resolved, with or without Mr. Davis. And unfortunately, the idea of Brexit hasn’t left together with David Davis.

David Davis is a so-called “Brexit Secretary” (or Her Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union). His job is to negotiate the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the EU.
